How MuchHow Much by torq-alta
"Years have past. So many years, that I hardly remember a time before you... a time before us. We are older, faster, stronger, and for some, taller. Sometimes wiser, but not even close to being as wise as we could be, as we need to be. But that's alright, because every day I learn new things, and I learn them because of you. You are my light, my inspiration, and my world. Without you I am nothing, and with you I will never fall again."
Tsubaki was in the kitchen making lunch when Black Star walked in puffing slightly with a sweat rag over one shoulder. He had been working out for most of the day and was just going to take a short break for lunch. He sat down with a thump and sat back contentedly. He watched his partner as she busied herself with preparing the meal. When she was done, she turned and plopped two plates of delicate sandwiches onto the table (Black Star's portion was three times the size of hers) and smiled,

All was quiet within the small apartment. The only sound interrupting the silence was the content purring of Blair as she dreamt sweet dreams in the midst of her slumber. Soul was asleep on this glorious afternoon as well. It was a peaceful scene. That is, until the front door banged open.
"I can't STAND that repulsive man!" Roared Maka.
Her blonde hair streaked behind her, as if it was trying to keep up with her angry strides. Maka violently slammed the door, almost knocking it off of its hinges. Blair stirred in her sleep.
"Maka, is that you?" She yawned, getting up and stretching her feline body.
"Yeah. I'm home, Blair." Sighed Maka, a hint of agitation in her breath.
"Did your day out with your papa go well?"
Maka pulled the same face that you would pull after meeting Excalibur.
"Um not so well then?" Chuckled Blair, awkwardly.
"He spent the whole day being a womaniser." Groaned Maka, "Trying to draw in new prey by pretending that he was a lonely, single parent that was

"Eh? What's this?" Asked Soul, picking up a piece of paper that had been left on the cluttered kitchen counter.
"D-Don't read that!" Yelped Maka.
She made a desperate attempt to snatch the paper out of Soul's grasp. Soul used his height as an advantage and lifted the paper out of Maka's reach.
"C'mon, Soul! This isn't cool!" Whimpered Maka.
"What's not cool is not sharing this with your partner." Replied Soul, Smirking, "Sharing is caring."
"Well maybe I don't care!" Huffed Maka.
"Ouch! You hurt me right here." Laughed Soul, playfully clutching his chest as if in agony.
"Don't mock me!" Maka growled, stomping her foot in annoyance.
No matter how mature Maka acted, she always had her childish moments.
"Alright, I won't mock you." Chuckled Soul, "Instead, I'll read this."
Soul did his best to hold in his laughter, but failed miserably.
"What's so FUNNY?" Asked Maka in a threatening tone.
"T-This is!" Soul replied while in the midst of laughter.
"It's a heartfelt poem." Explained M
Partners for Always, cont."Soul! Soul, wake up! Soul!" Maka was right next to him and she still couldn't get him up for class on time. She hung her head and let out an agitated sigh, pressing her hand to his forehead.Partners for Always, cont. by sillimus
"'Dun wanna wake up," She heard, startled by Soul's sudden movement. He had her wrapped in his arms, held tight against his chest.
"'Dun wanna get up. Five more minutes." Maka's eyes were wide as saucers. Why was it that he always did this if they spent the night together? Despite her protests it was kind of nice. She smiled and leaned her forehead against his chest, closing her eyes. Warm. It wasn't long, however, until she remembered school--ever the perfect student, she was.
"I'll make you breakfast if you get ready to go." She coaxed. Soul let out a sleepy murmur. A vein throbbed in Maka's forehead. Her cooking wasn't good enough, eh? A devious smile cracked across her face.
"You know professor Stein will make us do a remedial lesson if we're late again, right?" That did the tri
